Comfort Ministry: Judith Bradshaw

For receptions after a Memorial Services the Comfort ministry relieves the family of some of the work in hosting the reception. We set up the food (provided by the family), and serve the tea and coffee.  We set up the tables and chairs as well and organize a place to display family memorabilia. Clean up, we do that as well.

Brian Head and Barbara Uibel

Friends of St. Andrew outreach to the homeless and food insecure of Sidney.
The intent of the parish outreach program is to build relationships with clients in the community, whilst providing basic food items (coffee/ homemade soup/ sandwiches/ muffins, etc.) twice a week, every Monday and Friday afternoon.  We have supplies of rain ponchos, survival blankets, socks and personal wipes which are given out as needed and $5 Tim Horton cards for our regulars when we encounter them on non-delivery days.

Warm Clothing:
Barbara Uibel  and Lois Ainey

Parishioners of St. Andrew continue to be very generous in sharing what they have.  Many warm coats, blankets, and sundry other items of clothing, were donated for Our Place.  Our Place Society is a community service provider for the poor, disadvantaged, and homeless of Greater Victoria. They run a variety of life transforming services, including meals, housing, health and wellness, education, and practical care.
