Soup is on … Wednesdays, 11:30 to 12:30!
Neighbours’ Lunch is a St. Andrew’s ministry that began in 2003, originally serving 35 of our neighbours with a lunch of homemade soup and buns. In 23 years, it has grown to offer three kinds of soup and many dozens of buns, as well as dessert, coffee, tea and juice. Each Wednesday between 11:30 and 12:30, there are 15 volunteers who serve an average of 100 bowls. As of June 2026, the church is proud to have served over 100,000 bowls of soup since its humble beginnings.
In the Sidney area, there are currently other churches and social service organizations offering lunches on some other days of the week, so that St Andrew’s Wednesday lunches complete the week for those who look to this ministry for food and fellowship. No reservations are needed, just come as you are!
